Save Live Australia`s Music (S.L.A.M.) will protest to save live music in Melbourne by recreating the AC/DC video for `It`s A Long Way To The Top If You Want To Rock and Roll` along Swanston Street this month.The Rockwiz Orchestra will hop of the back of a truck and perform the AC/DC classic in the same place, now called Swanston Walk on Tuesday February 23rd from 4pm.AC/DC filmed the original video in 1976 for the song from their second album ‘TNT’. At the time, they were living in the Melbourne suburb of St Kilda.The Rockwiz Orchestra, featuring Lucky Luscombe, James Black and Mark Ferrie along with Rockwiz co-host Brian 646-656 Nankervis and the original troupe of bag pipe players will be captured on video by Paul Dane, the man who filmed the original AC/DC video.The protest is to make the Victorian Government understand the ramifications of their changes to the liquor laws 70-270 testking that has already cost Melbourne one casualty, the iconic The Tote in Collingwood.While blame for the demise of The Tote was originally thought to be an unfortunate casualty of testking 220-701 changes to the liquor licensing fees and that the generally Arts supportive Labor Government would negotiate a reasonable outcome for the music industry this week matters went south.At a meeting of Parliament this week the law was upheld by the Labor Government after Labor MPs voted 18 votes for no change, Liberal’s voted 17 votes for the change and the 3 Green MPs were too coward to vote and thus ensuring Labor got their way and the law remained.
